This single-day event will bring local businesses together with federal, state, and municipal buyers, as well as prime contractors to discuss opportunities and solutions to upcoming procurements. A full day of matchmaking will follow a brief opening ceremony. Each matchmaking appointment will be brief, probably just 8-9 minutes each. These appointments will be scheduled prior to the event using third-party software tied to registering for the matchmaker.

We will also have a variety of small business resource presentations that will be ongoing throughout the day in a separate room from where the matchmaking is happening. Business owners who have a break between appointments can take advantage of these in-person breakout sessions on a variety of subjects.

Maine’s Meet the Buyers Matchmaking Event will be held at the Augusta Civic Center on Thursday, May 15th. Eastern Maine Development Corporation’s Maine APEX Accelerator Program is hosting the event with support from the Department of Defense and Maine’s Department of Economic and Community Development.
